Dutch Design Week 2016
Tentoonstelling van afstudeerproject Atelier Bascule
2016
My graduation project 'Learning from architectural photography' was on display at the Dutch Design Week 2016. Within my graduation project I used a photographic approach to explore and develop my design. Making a photograph requires patience and a closer look. Hence, it forces to observe well and it stimulates a critical approach.
Visitors were invited to explore the architecture through the lens of a camera. The photographs, taken with a smartphone, were printed immediately as it were a polaroid. To take a photo and also to see that photo printed, generates feedback and helps to evaluate. All polaroids were gathered and the collection represented a photographic observation of the architecture.
